Molecular mechanisms for polyphenol functionality

چکیده
Polyphenols are found in a wide variety of vegetables, fruits, and teas that we regularly consume. "Polyphenol" is general term for family compounds with multiple phenolic hydroxyl groups (hydroxyl attached to the benzene ring), about 8,000 species have been identified so far. becoming widely recognized society due their promising health benefits, such as preventive effects against obesity cardiovascular diseases. To understand how polyphenols exert benefits from molecular viewpoint, researchers food nutrition fields elucidating various biochemical biological activities exhibited by themselves. It has pointed out generally poorly absorbable therefore unlikely be taken up body or reach organs native form. The mechanisms which express functions vivo include direct interaction receptor proteins, action polyphenol metabolites, on intestinal bacterial fermentation. In this paper, I will not only outline types chemical characteristics polyphenols, but also explain behavior along potential health-promoting effects.

possible molecular mechanisms for paramecium learning
learning is a cornerstone of intelligent behavior in animals. this behavior has been mostly studied in organisms with a fairly complex nervous system. however, recent reports of learning in unicellular organisms suggested the existence of associative learning in unicellular organisms. in particular, the capability to associate different light intensities with cathodal stimulation in paramecium ...
متن کاملPolyphenol Stilbenes: Molecular Mechanisms of Defence against Oxidative Stress and Aging-Related Diseases
Numerous studies have highlighted the key roles of oxidative stress and inflammation in aging-related diseases such as obesity, type 2 diabetes, age-related macular degeneration (AMD), and Alzheimer's disease (AD). In aging cells, the natural antioxidant capacity decreases and the overall efficiency of reparative systems against cell damage becomes impaired. There is convincing data that stilbe...
متن کاملMolecular Mechanisms of Recurrent Pregnancy Loss
Introduction: Pregnancy and health is the process in which the egg is fertilized and being able to survive. When pregnancy occurs under some conditions and the fetus is being at risk, it will lead to abortion that occurs involuntarily and spontaneously. Abortions that occur more than two or three times are called recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL). Various etiological factors involved in RPL, inclu...
متن کاملCurcumin - a polyphenol with molecular targets for diabetes control?
The aim of this narrative review is to analyze the potential role of curcumin in treatment of prediabetes, Types 1 and 2 diabetes and their complications. This literature provides evidence for the beneficial effect of curcumin in glucoregulation and diabetic microvascular complications. Although the mechanism of action remains unclear, the yellow flavonoid’s therapeutic efficacy may stem from t...
متن کاملMolecular model for astringency produced by polyphenol/protein interactions.
Polyphenols are responsible for the astringency of many beverages and foods. This is thought to be caused by the interaction of polyphenols with basic salivary proline-rich proteins (PRPs). It is widely assumed that the molecular origin of astringency is the precipitation of PRPs following polyphenol binding and the consequent change to the mucous layer in the mouth. Here, we use a variety of b...
